If religion causes you to…

Hate another person for their beliefs
Hate another person for their sexual orientation
Find an unkempt person to be lower than thou
Immediately judge another person who has a child out of wedlock
Avoid a person for having AIDS
Suppress another person’s religious practices while enforcing your own
Label a person as a “satanist” for not being religious
Follow fringe practices as law and enforcing them as if they are canon
Restrict a person’s education for a predefined lifestyle
Excommunicate members for having an original thought
Put words in the mouth of God

… then you should probably reconsider your beliefs.
